String tied, heavily textured colored paper (?) covered beveled boards with overall rubbing and wear, the heaviest being to the corners and along the full length of the spine which has minor losses to the paper covering the spine, with a green and yellow printed paste-label with the book's title to upper cover. All edges tinted blue. Heavily textured, multi-colored endpapers with gift inscription dated 1924 on back of FFEP. [28] leaves printed on rectos only. A rhyming alphabet based on characters from various fairy and folk tales illustrated with lovely half page orange, black and white drawings by Pailthorpe on every page; mild to moderate spotting throughout.
