This card was designed to be displayed in a retail setting to promote the "Tru-to-Life" A1 Dolls and Toys line which Dean's launched in 1922. Pictorial showcard die-cut along the top edge, with decoration and lettering printed in dark brown on a medium weight light brown cardstock with minor soiling and gently bumped corners for what is a lovely example of this early 20th century doll and toy marketing item; two punched holes at center-top strung with string for hanging. This was the actual showcard reproduced on p. 214 of Peter and Dawn Cope's book, Dean's Rag Books and Rag Dolls; from Dean's archives. The condition of the showcard is NEAR FINE. RARE # 000804
