Original publisher's paper over board hinged box measuring 3-1/16" x 2-9/16", with a large color pictorial paste-label with an image of Mister Possum Gets a Scare within a golden frame with titles and silhouettes of animals printed in black, with minor touches of rubbing and wear for what is a lovely example of the original publisher's box; blue ribbon bound inside of box for facilitating the removal of the books. Eight volumes, each [12] pp. including wrappers. Eight animal themed miniature children's books illustrated by McCandlish in full color throughout; title are: Brother Black Bear Gets In Trouble, Daddy Rabbit Reaches His Limits, Daddy Turtle and the Well-Sweep, The Froggies' Diving School, Little Miss Ducky-Daddles, Mr. Fox Gets His Feet Wet, Mister Possum Gets a Scare and Pinky-Winky Meets A Stranger.
