This extremely clear, near mint, full length portrait of a handsome young boy is housed in half of a leatherette case under glass and a brass mat stamped "BACON'S / 208 BOWERY;" Rufus Bacon was listed as "daguerreian and ambrotypes" at this address in New York City directories 1856-1860.
