An exceedingly rare children's book on slavery, to which is added a second story about a fairy and its interactions with two sisters who have very differing temperaments; illustrated with a woodcut frontispiece of a sailing ship surrounded by canoes filled with Africans armed with bows and arrows, trying to fend off said ship, and 8 woodcuts within text, all of which are printed in black; light soiling throughout with a small ink stamp "67494" and a pen notation"085 / MOZ" written below to unprinted title page verso and a short closed tear to the center of pp. [5]-6.
