[16] pp. Very's adaptation of Defoe's story, retold in verse; text printed in black to the middle third of each page; illustrated with two delicate chromolithographs on every page, one above the text and one below, showing the characters and main events of the story; internally the book is fine. Original publisher's red paper envelope with large paste-on with engraved decoration and titles printed in green to front panel with a single corner crease, plus plain back panel which is completely separated from the front for what is a wonderful example of the exceedingly rare envelope.
