Buff colored pictorial stiff paper wrappers with titles and a woodcut within a decorative border, all printed in black, to both front and back wrappers, with the slightest hint of rubbing to spine, light overall dusting and title of book neatly written in ink on upper margin of front wrapper for what is a beautiful copy of the book. 32 pp. A title in Lumsden & Son's Juvenile Library with the printed price of "two pence" on front wrapper, the book contains "advice to all good children" which includes eleven different nursery rhymes in the section titled "Gammer Gurton's Garland of Nursery Songs," each illustrated with a lovely woodcut, followed by a full page woodcut of Peter Puzzlecap, Esq., and eleven riddles, ten of which are illustrated with a woodcut, in the section titled "Toby Tickle's Collection of Riddles;" the last section of the book contains "Story of Little Scug the Squirrel," "Rules for Daily Practice" and "The Good Child's Reward," each illustrated with a single woodcut; internally the book is fine; all woodcuts are dark and with fresh, fine detail. The condition of the book is NEAR FINE. SCARCE; especially so in such nice condition. #001051
