Cream cloth backed, white paper with a blue and gold floral pattern covered boards; the cream cloth with floral decoration and titles stamped in silver for what is a beautiful copy of the book. Original publisher's cream paper dust jacket with titles and decoration printed in gray to front panel, matching the titles and decoration stamped to the cloth on the front cover; four closed edge tears measuring 1-1/8", 1-1/4", 1-5/8" and 4"; chips to the head and tail of spine and to the fold corners; additional short closed edge tears and overall minor darkening and spotting. Original publisher's two part cardboard box with paste label to box top with titles printed in black; all sides broken at the corners; two sides missing from the top. Plain endpapers. [10] leaves. The illustrated title page and all text and illustrations are printed on thin Japanese paper tipped on to heavier bound sheets; the illustrations are photogravures from photographs of children re-enacting Mother Goose rhymes; offsetting to the mounting page versos; minor spotting to a few leaves.
