(Texas Interest) WORCESTER [MASS.] PALLADIUM, VOLUME III, NUMBER 15, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 1836, CONTAINING A DETAILED EARLY ACCOUNT OF THE FALL OF THE ALAMO. Worcester, Massachusetts: [J. S. C. Knowlton], April 13, 1836. FIRST EDITION. Elephant folio - 22-5/8" x 17-1/8". [4] pp. A fascinating early American newspaper filled with reports from across the country, the surrounding territories, and other far flung lands, including reports on the Texas Revolution (War of Texas Independence) including the fall of the Alamo; contains dozens of advertisements for the necessities of the day which the reading of, transports one back to an earlier time and place; paper remains bright and supple and is cleanly split along the full length of the spine fold; minor spotting and a few scattered match head sized burn marks; previous owner's name inked to upper margin of p. [1] with minor loss to the margin of upper fore edge corner of pp. [1-2]. The condition of the newspaper is VERY GOOD.
