All edges tinted yellow. Blue cloth covered boards with title stamped in black and gold to upper cover; additionally, a picture of two boys playing with a top and a picture of a group of girls playing blind man's buff, all stamped in colors on the upper cover; rubbing to the corners and to the head and tail of spine and some rippling to the cloth on the lower cover. Yellow endpapers. 63, [1] pp. Neat gift inscription dated 1889 on the half title. This is a wonderful book with the instructions for playing fifty-three different games popular during the Victorian Era, many of which have since been long forgotten; twenty-four of the games are illustrated with a full color drawing by Greenaway of children playing the game; the twenty-four full page plates were engraved and printed in colors by Edmund Evans.
