Milne, A. A. The Very Young Calendar: 1930; decorations by E. H. Shepard. New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., Inc., [1929]. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. 4to - 10" x 8". [13] card leaves printed one side only. This is a loose-leaf calendar consisting of a cover-title leaf and twelve individual calendar leaves, one for each month of the year; each leaf with two holes punched in upper margin as issued, and all loosely bound with a blue silk tasseled cord; verses and a "thought for the month" drawn from Milne's work accompany each month's calendar; borders and decorations are printed in colors and include Winnie-the-Pooh, Christopher Robin and friends; six leaves with a tiny crease to lower right corner. Original publisher's top-loading card slipcase with large color pictorial paste-label replicating the design of the calendar's cover-title leaf; minor marginal darkening to the paste-label for what is a lovely example of the slipcase. The condition of both the calendar and slipcase is FINE. Only six copies located on OCLC/WorldCat. RARE; especially so in the exemplary condition being offered here. # 001187
