(Food and Drink) THE TINY BOOK ON COCKTAILS. Providence, R.I.: Livermore & Knight Co., (1905). FIRST EDITION. 64mo - 2" x 1-5/8" (Miniature). Original yapp-edged dark brown limp leather covers, with titles stamped in gilt to front cover, with minor wear to the extremities and sun-fading to the spine for what is a really nice copy of the book. a.e.g. Plain endpapers. 74 pp. "Inasmuch as you will do this thing, it is best that you do it intelligently;" and so begins this tiny tome. What follows in this pre-Prohibition mixology book is a fourteen page essay on cocktails, and the recipes for fifty mixed drinks popular at the turn of the 20th century (many of which are still popular today); internally the book is near fine. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD. Only two copies located on OCLC/WorldCat (University of Michigan and University of Virginia). RARE; and really quite handy. #001083
