(African-American Interest) CIRCA 1930 CARDBOARD CHURCH FAN "HOME, SWEET HOME" FEATURING AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN FAMILY IN THEIR HOME (CODE NO. 7320). U.S.A.: F. A. S., circa 1930. 6-5/16" x 10-7/8". Photo illustrated cardboard hand fan printed in black and orange within an orange monotone decorative border of birds and flowers, including a regal peacock on the handle; the main image, which measures 5" x 7", shows a tranquil domestic scene of a father reading a newspaper, the mother knitting a new item, a baby boy on the floor playing with a ball, and a young girl who at first glance is un-occupied, but upon closer inspection, seems to be standing at the ready to turn the pages for her father, as he is unable to do so himself as both his hands are occupied holding his wife's yarn (!); upper right hand corner with small crease and handle with tiny, minor abrasion.
