The edition was limited to sixteen hundred copies, namely: a copy on Madagascar, bearing number 1 and containing all of the artist's originals; twenty-four copies on Madagascar, numbered from 2 to 25 and fifteen hundred and seventy-five copies on tinted Alfa, numbered 26 to 1,600. In addition, forty-two copies have been made, on various papers, by name designed, reserved for the publisher and his friends." De Goupil a Margot is a collection of eight short stories by Louis Pergaud. This book received the Goncourt Prize in 1910. This is a prize in French literature, given to the author of "the best and most imaginative prose work of the year."
