Sarg, Tony. ORIGINAL PEN AND INK DRAWING BY TONY SARG CAPTIONED "WHAT DID LITTLE BO PEEP LOOSE?" PUBLISHED IN PARENTS' MAGAZINE. Chicago: The Parents' Institute, Inc., 1940. The drawing which is captioned "What did little Bo Peep loose?" measures 7-1/8" x 13-1/8" on an 10-3/4" x 15" sheet of drawing paper. The drawing features Little Bo Peep and three of her sheep which seem quite happy to once again be found. This drawing was published on page 66 of the August 1940 issue of Parents' Magazine where it illustrated a section named "Information Tests For Children;" Sarg was a regular contributor to Parents' Magazine throughout the 1930's and early 1940's, supplying the magazine with humorous drawings which often featured his trademark caricatures of animals; drawing is signed and by Sarg lower left; various printer's notations in the margins. The condition of the drawing is FINE. Included with the drawing is a copy of the August 1940 issue of Parents' Magazine where the drawing was originally published. # 000995
