Staple bound color pictorial card wrappers die-cut around the shape of the Red Riding Hood doll that appears on the front wrapper, with creases to the lower fore edge corner, both front and back, and a gift inscription dated Xmas 1901, lightly penned to the "head" of back wrapper for what is a lovely copy of the book. The Charles Perrault version of the story, re-told in verse, is illustrated with eight full color drawings and fifteen sepia drawings; light spotting to inside of front and back wrappers, but otherwise, in nearly pristine condition internally.
