Original publisher's 1/4 vellum over blue buckram covered boards with titles and decoration stamped in gilt to front cover, and titles stamped in gilt to spine for what is a wonderful copy of the book. Original publisher's blue pattered paper over board slipcase, with printed paper label with hand-inked number matching the number of the book, with sun-fading to spine, and rubbing and wear to the extremities, is completely intact and still quite nice. Plain endpapers. [1-8], 9-70 pp. Printed on hand-made paper, the book features thirty-one children's poems by Agnew; illustrated by Shepard with over fifty black and white drawings, silhouettes and vignettes, including a fully illustrated title page and thirteen full page drawings. The condition of the book is FINE. The condition of the original publisher's slipcase is VERY GOOD. RARE in the limited edition; especially so in such nice condition and in the original publisher's slipcase. #001016
