Staple bound light blue paper wrappers with titles and the brewery's trademark eagle on a shield bearing the stars and stripes, perched upon the brewery's star topped letter "A" printed in dark blue to front wrapper, and a bird's eye view of the "Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association, Largest Bottling Establishment of the World" and a "Table Of Annual Sales" from 1874 to 1882 printed in dark blue to back wrapper; light vertical fold, 1-1/4" separation to upper spine fold and minor wear, including light chipping to corners and edges, for what is still a very nice copy of this early brewery catalog. 16 pp. This is the earliest known Anheuser-Busch catalog, and according to Romaine, American Trade Catalogs, the oldest known American brewery catalog (page 21). The contents of the catalog are fascinating and lively, and include a "Message to our Patrons," a display of counterfeit beer labels, illustrations of satellite breweries in Arkansas, Wyoming and Texas, a centerfold spread of their 1883 gold medal certificate, and a 3-page price list for their various brews, i.e., Anheuser-Busch Standard, Liebotschaner, Erlanger, Pale Lager, Faust Beer, and "the Budweiser beer," priced by the bottle and keg; souvenir traveling cases, beer glasses and cork screws are also shown as items available for purchase from the brewery; internally with minimal wear. The condition of the catalog is VERY GOOD. Only one copy located on WorldCat (Missouri History Museum; Missouri Historical Society). EXCEEDINGLY RARE #001154
