(Alphabet) BABY'S A.B.C. (CODE NO. 80); illustrated by David Brett (pseudonym of Eugenie Richards). London: Dean's Rag Book Co., Ltd., between 1908-1913. FIRST EDITION. 4to - 11-1/2" x 7-3/4". Pink cloth backed color pictorial cloth wrappers, sewn as issued, with minor spotting to the back wrapper for what is a nice copy of the book. [18] butterfly-folded double cloth pages including wrappers; pinking to head and foot of book. The book is an alphabet/object book in which each letter of the alphabet is paired with an object that starts with that letter, e.g., "A stands for Anchor. B stands for Ball. C stand for Circus," etc.; the letter "N" stands for a racist word that is difficult to see in print, but that was evidently so common place at the turn of the 20th century, that it was deemed acceptable to be included in children's books; internal pages with foxing and stains throughout. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD. Only one copy located on OCLC/WorldCat (Princeton University Library). RARE #001109
