(Wild West) BUFFALO BILL'S WILD WEST COMBINED WITH PAWNEE BILL'S GREAT FAR EAST. MAGAZINE OF WONDERS & DAILY REVIEW. [Buffalo, New York]: Courier Co. of Buffalo, [1909]. FIRST EDITION. 8vo - 9-9/16" x 7-1/4". Staple bound color pictorial glazed paper wrappers with the slightest touches of edge wear and a single closed tear measuring 3/8" on the bottom edge of the front cover for what is otherwise a brilliant, near pristine copy of the book. [60] pp. including wrappers. This is a stated first edition program for the inauguration of the 1909 American tour. This tour began with a three week engagement in New York City's Madison Square Garden with shows being performed twice a day. The first eight pages are the actual program of the show; the remaining pages contain essays on famous men, i.e. Buffalo Bill and Pawnee Bill, testimonials to Buffalo Bill's valor and additional essays on various topics concerning important aspects of the Wild West, e.g. History of the Wild West, The Story of the Battle of Summit Springs and Skirmish at Elephant Rock, Football Playing Horses, Passing of the American Indian and The American Cowboy. The book is illustrated throughout in black and white; interesting advertisements throughout including ads for Winchester Rifles, Iver Johnson Revolvers, Stetson Hats, Cracker Jacks, Pierce Arrow Motor Cars and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. All in all, this is an exceptional copy of the book. The condition of the book is FINE. One copy each of the fourth, eighth and ninth editions but no copies of the first edition located on OCLC/WorldCat. EXCEEDINGLY RARE, especially in such nice condition. # 000717
