(Shaped Books) FRISKY, THE SQUIRREL by E. V. [Place of publication not identified]: [Publisher not identified], circa 1890. 12mo - 7-5/16" x 5-1/4". String bound color pictorial glazed stiff card wrappers die-cut in the shape of a cute little nut-eating squirrel with rubbing along spine, short spit to both head and tail of spine, and a minute touch of wear to one ear on front wrapper, and a crease to one ear and minor soiling to back wrapper for what is an attractive copy of the book. [16] pp. including wrappers. This is the tale of a squirrel named Frisky and his ventures out into the world to see just what the world has to offer; he is delighted with what he finds there which is all kinds of other animals, and some cute, playful children; in addition to the main tale, which is told in verse, there are two poems "written" by Frisky which were inspired by what he found on his venture out into the world; illustrated with three full page chromolithographs including the front wrapper, plus brown and white drawings within text throughout; a few very minor scattered small areas of discoloration that are barely noticeable, otherwise, internally the book is fine. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD. No copies located on OCLC/WorldCat. RARE # 000878
