Gracie Fields was a comedienne and singer performing in the British Music Halls, as well as the top box office draw and highest paid actress in Britain in the 1930's. She lent her fame to this song by performing it for broadcast to comfort the many boys and girls taken from their families and placed with strangers for the children's protection at the outbreak of the Second World War. The condition of the sheet music is VERY GOOD. Only five copies located on OCLC/WorldCat, and only two of the five are the English edition as offered here. RARE # 001068
