Plain endpapers with a gift inscription on the FFE dated Christmas 1897 and an area of discoloration on the back endpapers. [13] leaves text, [6] leaves colored plates; printed one side of leaf only. Children's stories and verses by Tucker about different adult professions illustrated with decorative border and line drawings within text by Tucker; each profession is illustrated with a wonderful full color drawing by Humphrey of a small child performing the functions of the profession.
