A collection of nursery rhymes illustrated throughout with black and white drawings within text, however the highlights of the book are four verses illustrated with chromolithographed metamorphic plates. These four verses are Curly Locks; Tom, the Piper's Son; Jack and Jill; and A Farmer Went Trotting. The metamorphic plates are pasted on the pages opposite each verse; each plate is scored down the middle to open like French doors revealing a new illustration beneath; internally the chromolithographed plates are in fine condition; text pages with minor spotting.
