Sandy brown pictorial paper wrappers with decoration and lettering printed in black to front and back cover with wear to the head and tail of spine, minor chipping around the edges and a bookseller's label affixed to front for what is a remarkably well preserved copy of a notoriously fragile book. 64, [16] pp. The book contains an almanac and calendar for 1872 followed by over a dozen different short pieces by the likes of Dickens, Tennyson and Twain, concluding with other very important information such as lengths of rivers, etc.; sixteen pages of advertisements follow the sixty-four pages of the main body of the almanac. The book is illustrated by Nast with over 130 black and white illustrations including a full page frontispiece and an illustrated title-page. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD.
