Color pictorial stiff card wrappers with a die-cut top edge; two holes punched through all leaves with the exception of the final leaf, or back wrapper, forming the eye openings of the various characters that appear throughout the book, with two Vari-Vue eyes placed inside back wrapper where they can be seen through each recto's punched eye openings; additional hole punched at top of book for hanging; light wear to base of spine and child's name written lightly on back wrapper for what is a lovely copy of the book. [16] pp. including wrappers, all printed on stiff card. The book tells the story of three happy-go-lucky, treasure hunting pirates and a parrot named Polly; illustrated with full color drawings within text throughout, including a large full color drawing on each recto of one of the book's characters dressed to perform a specific job on their pirate ship (and always with the Vari-Vue eyes seen flickering away). Internally the book is fine with the exception of one small darkened spot on one page and a discrete gift inscription on the inside of the back wrapper. The condition of the book is NEAR FINE.
