Garis, Howard R. UNCLE WIGGILY DRAWING MASTER WITH AN UNCLE WIGGILY STORY. Cleveland, Ohio: The Burdette-Murray Company, (1923). FIRST EDITION. Folio - 14" x 10". Heavy manila card sheet with one vertical fold forming a [4] pp. folder, with a drawing of Uncle Wiggily by Lang Campbell printed in black, blue, red and white, and titles printed in black and red, all within a single line border printed in blue to p. [1]; the story "Uncle Wiggily Draws a Picture" by Howard R. Garis printed in black and red to p. [2]; "The Drawing Master," i.e., a metal pantograph, fastened by means of a metal rivet, along with some instructions for its use printed in black and red to p. [3]; and a "Lesson in Drawing and Coloring" printed in black within a blue border to p. [4]; pp. [3-4] with die-cut tabs for holding the drawing being traced and the paper on which the enlarged drawing is being drawn upon; flaws include a crease to the upper fore edge corner of pp. [1-2], a small area of text lightly smeared by rubbing from the pantograph to p. [2], pantograph lightly oxidized to p. [3], and a couple of light erasures to p. [4] for what is an extremely lovely example of this neat little book/toy; included and laid in as issued are eight small line drawings (one with rust marks), measuring 2-7/8" x 3-5/16" each, of characters from the story to be traced and enlarged by the pantograph, and eight sheets of drawing paper. The condition of the book/toy is NEAR FINE. No copies located on OCLC/WorldCat. EXCEEDINGLY RARE; especially in such nice condition and complete with all additional laid in original items. # 000919
